Boerne, TX- During the Regular Called Board Meeting for the Boerne Independent School District, Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Thomas Price, announced the district's selection for a statewide honor.
BISD was recently selected as a Semi-Finalist for the 2019 HEB Excellence in Education Award. The district was in the top 25 out of 1,500 applications selected for this honor.
"You are helping to shape the future of Texas and we thank you for your passion and your dedication. You are an inspiration to us all," said Jill Reynolds the Manager of HEB Public Affairs.
Along with a certificate and designation as a Semi-Finalist, the district received a $500 Gift Card to HEB that will be put back into the district.
"We want to thank HEB for the acknowledgment of our district's efforts," said Dr. Price."We are grateful that the hard work of our students, teachers and administrators is being applauded and hope this is the first of many honors for our district."
