April 17, 2020- In addition to all schools in Texas closing for the remainder of the 2019-20 school year, the UIL has canceled all remaining spring activities and state championships. We extend our gratitude to our student-athletes and performers for all their success this school year, and we look forward to the start of the upcoming school year in August.
Boerne ISD Athletic Director Stan Leech: “We are disappointed that our student-athletes will not be able to finish their seasons and compete for championships, but we are already excited for the 2020-21 season. We thank our seniors, who leave BISD with many successes, both on and off the playing field.
Our coaches, players and staff will continue to work hard during the offseason and will be ready for tough competition next school year. The future of Boerne ISD athletics is bright. We thank you for your continued support.”
Boerne ISD Director of Fine Arts Ken Peach: “Although we are disappointed that our fine arts students will not be able to finish the UIL season, we are incredibly grateful and happy for what they accomplished during this school year.
We cannot say enough about our amazing senior class. They truly were leaders for our entire group of students. Looking forward, our directors and students are excited to begin the next school year and will be ready to once again perform at the highest level. We can’t wait to begin the next UIL season in August”
