October 8, 2020- The Boerne Independent School District has been recognized by the San Antonio Express-News as a 2020 Top Workplace. The announcement was made by the Express-News at a virtual luncheon on Thursday. The Top Workplace designation is based on the results of a survey that was sent to all Boerne ISD employees during the summer.
“We are extremely excited and humbled to be named a Top Workplace in the San Antonio region,” said Boerne ISD Superintendent Dr. Thomas Price. “Thank you to all our staff for their hard work, and for ensuring that our students and parents always come first. We have always said that Boerne ISD is a reflection of our community, and our community is shining brightly once again. Receiving this recognition during this pandemic is especially rewarding since it was our teacher's and staff’s support that resulted in us receiving this award,” stated Price.
The Top Workplace honor comes after Boerne ISD was named the 2019-20 Best Small School District in Texas by the HEB Excellence in Education committee in May.
Boerne ISD has nearly 1,300 full-time employees, and around 200 part-time employees. The Top Workplace Survey consisted of questions related to employee satisfaction at the district and school levels.
Boerne ISD was recognized along with other businesses and organizations in the San Antonio area as 2020 Top Workplaces.
