Boerne Middle School North Receives Statewide Recognition

Native PlantMay 4, 2022- Boerne Middle School North’s Conservation Garden was recognized as a Hill Country Pollinator Garden by the Native Plant Society of Texas.

This statewide honor highlights BMSN’s Conservation Garden in the courtyard. In order to receive this designation, the garden must have at least 75% native plants and no more than 25% non-native plants, flowering plants must be available to pollinators at least nine months of the year, selective use of pesticides, herbicides, or insecticides in or around the pollinator garden to minimize environmental impact, among other criteria.
