November 3, 2022- The Boerne Independent School District and the Boerne Education Foundation will host the Fourth Annual Cookies and Cocoa Staff Appreciation and Toy Drive on Friday, December 2nd from 8am-4pm at the Boerne Academy Cafeteria. BISD is partnering with Kendall County Blue Santa and will look to collect more than 1,200 unwrapped toys for children in the Boerne ISD community. BISD asks those who attend to help brighten the holiday season for a local child in need by donating an unwrapped toy or gift card.
The community is invited to drop off an unwrapped toy before Dec. 1st at the main lobby of Central Office, or at the event on Dec. 2nd. No toy guns of any kind, please.
Along with the toy drive, the event is a staff appreciation day, where the BISD Administration invites all 1,600 staff members to be served cookies and cocoa, as well as enjoy performances from student choir, bands, and dance teams. Employees who attend will have a chance to win prizes sponsored by Community partnerships. The festivities serve as a thank you to BISD staff for their hard work this school year.
BISD will also unveil the official 2022 District Christmas Card at the event and Santa Claus will make an appearance at 8:30am as well.
The event will kick off at 8am, with student performances scheduled to begin at 9am. All staff members and guests who attend the event will be required to enter through the Boerne Academy front entrance.
