tax rateSeptember 19, 2023- The Boerne ISD Board of Trustees voted to adopt a budget that will lower the district's property tax rate for the fifth straight year.

The 2023-24 tax rate will decrease by 18.5 cents per $100 valuation from $1.1786 to $0.9932.

The average taxpayer will save nearly $900 in property taxes in 2024.

Boerne ISD Board of Trustees President Carlin Friar said, “We pride ourselves on being advocates for the needs of our students while also being good stewards of taxpayer dollars. The Board of Trustees is very proud to lower the tax rate for the fifth year in a row, this time by almost 19 cents.

We have always been fiscally conservative, and respect the taxpayers best interest. The fact that the average taxpayer will save nearly $900 in property taxes means a lot to us and is a win for everyone in our community.

We appreciate the tremendous support that we have received from our community.”

The district's tax rate has decreased by a total of 36 cents since 2018 and is among one of the lowest school tax rates in the area.
