December 14, 2023- The Boerne Independent School District has announced that six campuses have earned statewide CREST (Counselors Reinforcing Excellence in Texas) awards from the Texas School Counselor Association.
The Boerne ISD Crest Award winners are: Boerne Middle School North, Boerne Middle School South, Voss Middle School, Curington Elementary School, Fabra Elementary School, and Kendall Elementary School.
In 2005, the Texas School Counselor Association began a program called CREST to recognize schools with outstanding counseling programs. Schools receiving CREST awards have demonstrated a commitment to using the Texas Model to improve the lives and achievement of students in academic, career, and personal-social domains.
The Texas School Counselor Association awards ceremony will be in February in Round Rock.
Counselors Reinforcing Excellence for Students in Texas (CREST) is sponsored by the Texas School Counselor Association (TSCA) and awarded to school counseling programs that meet CREST requirements. CREST is a continuous improvement document that school counseling programs can use to demonstrate effective communication and a commitment to obtaining results.
