Texas History is the study of the history of Texas from prehistory to the present. Historical content is integrated with the study of geography, economics, government, citizenship, culture, science, technology, and society, as well as social studies skills. Students use primary and secondary sources to acquire information about Texas.

PreAP Texas History includes the topics in 7^th grade social studies. Students achieve a greater depth of understanding through thoughtful discuss and reading and an emphasis on writing and analytical skills. Students use primary and secondary sources to acquire information about Texas. The course is designed to equip students with conceptual understanding and critical thinking needed in preparation for high school Advanced Placement courses.
