Guadalupe-Blanco River Authority Scholarship Program 

     Scholarships to a four-year college/universiry or a two-year technical/trade school will be awarded in amounts ranging from $500 - $2,000. All graduating seniors meeting the eligibility requirements may submit a scholarship application.

    Online Applications for the GBRA Scholarship Program should be submitted through the GBRA Scholarship google form.

    All available scholarships will be viewable on this page. Clicking on the name of a specific scholarship will allow you to view the detailed eligibility information. You will have the option to sort the scholarships or to type in keywords in the query to bring up specific scholarship criteria.

    You will need to create an account. 

    The Community Foundation scholarship application is a universal application that needs to be completed only one time by an applicant. Based on the eligibility rules of each scholarship and your responses to the application, you will automatically be considered for all scholarships for which you are eligible.

    You must attach all required documents in order to submit your application. After your submission, you will receive a message notifying you of the scholarships you have applied for. Some scholarships may require an additional short essay or letter of reference; you will be prompted to complete these in order to finalize your application.

    Your GPA must be stated on the 4.o scale. If needed, your counselor should be able to help convert to this scale if your school uses a different scale.

    If you have not taken the SAT or ACT, place a "0" in the respective box.

    Equitable Excellence Scholarship Program-             The program closes on December 15, 2020 at 3:00 pm or when 10,000 applications are submitted which ever occurs first.

    Equitable Foundation has established the Equitable Excellence Scholarship Program to assist high school seniors who are planning to continue their education at a two or four year college in the Unites States by Fall 2021.

        Baylor University          The application deadline is January 31.  

    Carr P. Collins Scholars Program. 

    Baylor University annually awards scholarships through the Carr P. Collins Scholar Program to students who have demonstrated leadership thuough service. Collins Scholars are awarded a minimum of  $5,650 first year, renewable for three additional years.

    Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF)      The deadline to submit the application is February 1, 2021, 5 pm ET.

    The online application for the Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship is available starting November 1, 2020, at  jackierobinson.org

    Once chosen from a national, selective application process, JRF Scholars receive a generous four-year grant to attend the undergraduate school of their choice and enroll in JRF's celebrated "42 Strategies for Success Curriculum." This four-year program guides JRF Scholars to effectively navigate their college environments, explore career options, develop leadership skills, and embrace a commitment to service. The program also promotes the values and character traits embodied in the heroic life of Jackie Robinson, encouraging JRF Scholars to positively impact the lives of others. 


    H.E.B. Scholarship Applications Remain open for Texas High School Seniors!! Application deadline is February 12, 2021.

    H.E.B. is awarding 15 Texas High School seniors who are active in UIL Music, Athletics and/or Academics competitions AND have been active in communityservice intitatives with a $2,000 scholarship to their college/university of choice.     Bandera Electric Scholarship

    BEC will award ten $2,500 scholarships to area students. Application deadline is Friday, February 26, 2021.

     The 500 word minimum essay should be written based on the following topic:

     One of BEC’s Cooperative Principles is Education, Training and Information. How do you plan to use your education, training and information to better your community and/or country?

     Winners will be chosen by the New Braunfels Area Community Foundation (NBACF). The NBACF will field all applicants, filter those applicants based on criteria set up by BEC, and administer and monitor all scholarship grants through an anonymous process.       Calling All Scholars!                                       The application deadline is March 1, 2021

    Catholic Life Insurance is offering the All American Scholarship. This program is available to members who are graduating high school seniors entering a college, university, or trade school in fall 2021.

    Thirty-five non-renewable $1000 scholarships will be awarded to deserving students. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must be a Catholic Life Insurance member at the time of application and throughout the scholarship period. The student applying must be the insured.

    If you are interseted in this scholarship, come by the Counselor's Office for an application.


    Capital Farm Credit

    Five $1,000 one-time scholarships to be awarded to students pursuing a degree in an agricultural or natural resources related field of study. Students must reside in one of the following counties: Bandera, Kendall and Kerr.

    The applicant must be a graduating college-bound senior with a desire to pursue a career related to math and/or science. Applicant should show financial need (receive free or reduced lunch or provide documentation of financial hardship).

    Application Process-

    1. Complete application form. Click on the link below for the form.

    2. Attach and official high school transcript.

    3. Write a brief one-page essay describing future career goals, not to exceed 500 words.

    4.Attach a copy of the acceptance letter/offer from your future college or university.

    5. Include at least one letter of reference from your high school's math or science teacher.

    Letters must be written on school letterhead and be in a sealed envelope. 

    6. Complete all of the above by April 15th and forward to:

     JAM Broadcasting in Kerrville is putting together a Vocational Scholarship Fund for Four Counties in the Hill Country, Kerr, Kendall, Gillespie, and Bandera. 

    The deadline to turn in an application for this scholarship is April 5th, 2021.

    For students to qualify they must:

    1. Graduate from a public high school in one of the four counties listed above in 2021.

    2. Create a resume for their dream job in their chosen vocational field.

    3. Upload the resume on our website( the link for the scholarships will be back up within the week) at www.jambroadcasting.net

    That's it. There is no grade requirement nor socio-economic specifications to be met in order to qualify.

    We will have a committee that will select the winners comprised of local business owners and staff of JAM Broadcasting. Our goal this year is to give 3 scholarships of $1,000 in each of the four counties.

    We at JAM Broadcasting understand the rising need for more trained blue-collar employees in the workplace. The majority of us have either achieved some sort of vocational training in the past, or have family who have. This is our way of helping, even in a small way.
