Mrs. Lornell Walden

Welcome to CHS!

I have been teaching Science for 14 years. I have previously worked in the biomedical and research field for 15 years. I have called Boerne my home since 1998 but I grew up in San Antonio. My husband, Dean, and I have been married for 37 years. Dean grew up here in Boerne and graduated from Boerne High School. I attended Texas A & M University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science. After graduation, I worked in the field of Biomedical Research at the University of Texas Health Science Center for 15 years. I also earned my Master's in Environmental Science at UTSA. I have two children; Nathan graduated from BHS in 2014, and Angela graduated from BHS in 2019.

I began my teaching career in special education. I previously taught at Boerne High School for Biology and AP Environmental Science. I have now found my way back to working in Special Education for Champion High School. I am very excited about getting to know everyone! Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
