After graduating from Texas State University, San Marcos, Dr. Beto Hinojosa began his education career at Lake Travis ISD where he taught and coached. After receiving his master’s degree in Educational Leadership, also from Texas State, he began his administrative career at Damon ISD, a small community outside of Houston where he served as Principal/Athletic Director. That road led to Boerne ISD where he has been for the last 12 years. Through that time, Dr. Hinojosa has served as assistant principal at Boerne Middle School North, the district’s Title IX coordinator, principal at Fabra Elementary, and principal at Capt. Mark T. Voss Middle School.
While at North, Dr. Hinojosa was selected as the Texas Assistant Principal of the Year, representing our state at the National Association for Secondary School Principals in Washington D.C., and earned a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Lamar University. During his leadership tenure at Boerne ISD, his campuses have received multiple TEA distinction designations in academic performance and in closing performance gaps. Most recently, Capt. Mark T. Voss Middle School was named a Texas School to Watch and National Model School for its Organizational Structures and Processes, Developmental Responsiveness, Social Equity, and Academic Excellence.
Dr. Hinojosa is an adjunct professor at Schreiner University teaching School Law and Public School Policy in the principal leadership program and is an active member of the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals. He has also served on the board of directors for the Cibolo Center for Conservation, whose mission is to promote conservation of natural resources through preservation and stewardship. In the 2021-2022 school year, Dr. Hinojosa attended the Thompson Executive Leadership Academy, a competitive and prestigious program for top educational leaders in the state.
In his free time, he loves to spend time with his family Mariana, Liam (8), Luca (2), and Annick (1), visit his hometown of Mission, Texas, play basketball, and enjoy the Texas hill country.

Mr. Hatten is starting his 15th year in education. He loves to help students reach their full potential. He loves to spend time with his family, take road trips, fish and go to church. He has a wife named Laura and 2 adult children named Thomas Jr. and Genesis and 3 dogs. Mr. Hatten loves being a Champion Charger, and he also roots for the TAMU Fighting Aggies.

Mrs. Dawn Adamek, is an Assistant Principal at Champion High School. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music (K-12) from Texas Tech University. She is the proud wife of Coach Chris Adamek, CHS head basketball coach, and mom of Texas Tech student,Josh, and Texas A&M student, Sarah. Mrs. Adamek taught music on various BISD campuses, including Kendall Elementary, Cibolo Creek Elementary, and Curington Elementary. She taught seconday choir for a few years in Pleasanton ISD, elementary music in Austin ISD, and also has experience in teaching private voice. Mrs. Adamek was named Teacher of the Year (KES) and BISD District Teacher of the Year in 2002 and was most recently named Teacher of the Year in 2012 for Curington. Mrs. Adamek has a master's degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification.

This will be Mr. Caughlin’s first year at Champion High School and Boerne ISD. He has been in education for 17 years with the past 7 as a Campus Administrator. He graduated from Baylor University and began his career as a Social Studies teacher and coach with Waco ISD. Education runs deep in Mr. Caughlin’s family, as his wife is also an educator with Comal ISD. Together they have two girls that are involved in sports and other school programs. Mr. Caughlin and his family love animals and enjoy spending their free time either at area sporting events or outside kayaking/hiking.

Mr. Bates is beginning his 9th year in education and he loves helping students grow into successful adults.His wife Morgan teachers 3rd grade and they have a yellow lab named Sadie. Mr. Bates loves spending time with his family, going hunting , working out at Cross Fit, mountain biking and going to the lake. Prior to being an assistant principal, Mr. Bates taught Math at Boerne High School.

Under the requirements of Senate Bill 107, 84th legislature, TEC 37.0012, each campus must have a staff member designated as the Campus Behavior Coordinator. As a District of Innovation, BISD has opted to designate each administrator as a campus behavior coordinator.
