About Mrs. Graves
Degrees and Certifications:
Mrs. Lynnese Graves
Lynnese Graves graduated from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State University) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics Education. Majoring first in Interior Design, her love for the subject guided her into the design industry as owner of her stained glass company from 1994 - 2002. Being an entrepreneur allowed her to put her teaching career on hold in order to be a stay-at-home mom for her three children. 2019-2020 marks Mrs. Graves’ 25th year of teaching, twenty three years as a Family and Consumer Science teacher in public schools and two as a preschool teacher for a private school. Her husband of 35 years has been by her side every step of the way.
This year will be her 20th year to teach for Boerne ISD. Mrs. Graves has taught Interior Design for all twenty three years, eight of those being articulated for college credit. Last year she added the Architecture Design pathway courses to her schedule and is excited to provide her students with new certification opportunities. Boerne Champion High School is an official NKBA-certified campus with plans for the American Design Drafting Association (ADDA) to be this year.
Students have the opportunity to include the following certifications on their professional resume’:
5-Hour StartSafe. StaySafe. Workplace Training Certification
