Mrs. Lynnese Graves, AKBD
Lynnese Graves graduated from Southwest Texas State University (Texas State University) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics Education. Majoring first in Interior Design, her love for the subject guided her into the design industry as owner of her stained glass company from 1994 - 2002. Being an entrepreneur allowed her to put her teaching career on hold in order to be a stay-at-home mom for her three children. 2021-2022 marks Mrs. Graves’ 27th year of teaching, twenty five years as a Family and Consumer Science teacher in public schools and two as a preschool teacher for a private school. Her husband of 37 years has been by her side every step of the way.
This year will be her 22nd year to teach for Boerne ISD. Mrs. Graves has taught Interior Design for all twenty five years, eight of those being articulated for college credit. Five years ago she added the Architecture Design pathway courses to her schedule and is excited to continue to provide her students with new certification opportunities.
