The Technology Department was able to purchase over 500 SMARTBoard IPF (Interactive Flat Panels) for our schools.
Many of the legacy campuses have projectors and smartboards that are failing. The cost of replacing just a projector was more than half the cost of a new IFP Board. These new boards will bring better collaboration and flow in the classroom for teachers. All new boards will be mounted on mobile stands which will allow teachers to move around the classroom more. This will also give teachers more freedom in their classroom design. Before, they had to design based on a fixed location of the board.
The first delivery and installation of these SMARTboards are scheduled for late Sept/ early Oct.
