Mr. Troy Ostrum

Troy Ostrum has been with Boerne isd since 2020. He began at Boerne middle school South where he taught Texas History and World cultures. 

In 2023 he joined the staff of Boerne High School, where he teaches World Geography, Sociology and Psychology.

Before joining BISD, Mr. Ostrum was on the staff of John Jay High School, where he taught World Geography and AP World History.

Mr. Ostrum's professional career began At Jourdanton High School way back in 2007, where he taught World Geography, World History, Financial literacy and credit recovery. He was also a coach and coached football, basketball, track and powerlifting.

Mr. Ostrum has a degree in History from UTSA and is certified to teach grades 4-12 Social Studies.

Mr. Ostrum was a member of the US Air Force where he met his wife, they were married in 1996 and have four children. In his spare time Mr. Ostrum is an avid weightlifter and plays flag football in a competitive league. Mr. Ostrum is a dedicated video gamer, his first console was the Atari 2600. Today he plays on his Xbox series X and his favorite series include Diablo, Overwatch, The Elder Scrolls and Conan Exiles. Mr. Ostrum also enjoys board games, some of his favorite games are Dominion, Summoner Wars and splendor.
