I am beyond excited to be starting the 23-24 school year at Boerne High School! 

After teaching CPR + First Aid in and around the San Antonio area for many years, I decided to use my degree in English from UTSA and get certified to teach high school English.  I have spent six years teaching English for a charter school in San Antonio,  and I felt led to make a change this year. I am hopeful for all of the amazing things this year will hold.

In my personal life,  I enjoy live music,  hanging out with family and frierds, partaking of great food, having engaging conversation, and I like reading for pleasure.  I am blessed to have 5 humans that call me mom (ages 34-22) and 4 little ones (my grands) who call me Mia.

One of my favorite quotes, albeit long, is, ¨The Man in the Arena," by Theodore Roosevelt.  The gist is: the people who do not try and only criticize others who do - don´t count; it’s the ¨trying¨ that matters.  That’s why the motto in my room is ¨Be Brave.¨
